It was invented in the early 1920s by a New York City accountant and features corned beef, swiss cheese, sauerkraut, and Russian dressing on marbled rye bread. Its sister sandwich, The New Yorker, features corned beef and pastrami, swiss cheese, and deli mustard on marbled rye bread.
