1 pound bison sirloin
OR pack of bison fajita/stir fry strips
3 TB cornstarch
3 TB cool water
1/2 cup low sodium soy sauce
3 TB packed light brown sugar
1 TB minced garlic
2 tsp grated fresh giner
2 TB sesame oil
4 cups broccoli florets
1/2 cup slice white onions
Cooked rice, the amount is up to you!
Toasted sesame seed for garnish
Sliced green onions for garnish
In a large bowl, mix 2 TB cornstarch with 3 TB cool water
Add bison and toss to cover steak
Mix remaining 1 TB cornstarch with soy, ginger, garlic and brown sugar
Heat half of the sesame oil in a skillet over medium heat
Add sirloin and cook each side for a few minutes until just under desired temperature
Remove meat and let rest
Add remaining oil to skillet and add broccoli and onions, stir occasionally until cooked through
Slice meat, against the grain, into long strips. Return to the pan, add the prepared sauce and bring up to a boil and stir until sauce coats and thickens up, about 1 min.
Pile onto desired amount of cooked rice and top with toasted sesame seeds and green onions
I have subbed in pickled ginger (which I always have on hand) instead of the fresh grated ginger and it works just as well.
