World Heart Day is observed on September 29th and is dedicated to raising awareness for cardiovascular diseases and how to control them lessen their global impact.  Bison meat has long been a component of healthy, nutrient dense diets due to their high level of vitamins and low values in fat, calories and cholesterol.  Dr. Royce Bargas of Bargas Wellness provides great insight on the importance of heart healthy lifestyles and how bison meat can be a proponent of healthy diets.
